I’ve just finished the second season of Sky Art’s portrait artist of the week which ran every Sunday morning alongside the TV show Portrait Artist of the Week. Here are my nine #paotw
My two favourites were journalist Samira Ahmed where my digital painting managed to be less flat than some of my other efforts not to draw
My favourite “drawing” portrait was C4 newsman Jon Snow where I concentrated on the drawing and ignored adding in colour except for some grey tones
The other reason for like #paotw is there was a lot of nice buzz over on Instagram on Sundays both in likes for my portraits and discovering other artists. As someone who spends more time on Twitter it was nice to be involved in something of an Instagram community. If you are on Instagram you can find me @cartoonsidrew
